Projects

The African R community has grown considerably over the past decade with numerous RLadies and R User Group communities being established. Africa R Users is a community that brings together analysts, researchers, students, and data scientists from across the continent.

A community of practice for African analysts and researchers interested in the intersection of data visualisation and mapping, African data with geospatial components, and the R programming language.

Internationally the Research Software Engineering (RSE) movement kicked off in 2012. RSSE Africa was established in 2019 and offers a welcoming environment for research software and systems engineers on the African continent to connect, share experiences, and grow.
